Charleston Spirit of Giving Day Non-Profit Palooza

On August 17th, Leveling the Fields participated in the Charleston Spirit of Giving Day Non-Profit Palooza ( https://www.skirt.com/nonprofit-palooza/)

We were ready with our official tablecloth, thanks to board president Melyssa. Soy candle gift basket raffle item thanks to Lori , and a local digital artist who donated art to sell! Big shout out to Melyssa’s 14-year-old daughter Emery, who took on the booth set up and tear down.

Steering Committee members Amanda and Kristan joined Melyssa and were on hand to answer any and all questions... talk about teamwork!

We did a lot of networking and learned more about attending these types of events. Being willing to constantly reflect and learn is the hallmark of an excellent non-profit, which is what we plan to be.

Our team recently attended some trainings on fundraising, and the overarching theme was around connecting with others. Sharing our mission and raising awareness of our goals is a TOP priority. Here is to more Spirit of Giving Days for us!
